Eco Project- Yellowstone National Park

Location

Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming.

Plants and Wildlife

Yellowstone National Park was the first National Park. It's home to several animals including but not limited to, Elk, Grizzly Bears, and several kinds of trout. The park is also home to the United State's oldest and largest herd of Bison.

In the 1990's, the National Park Foundation(NPF) reintroduced wolves to Yellowstone. This was called The Yellowstone Wolf Impact Study. Wolves were absent from Yellowstone for a century, an so when 41 wolves were reintroduced, there was a big impact. Now there are over 400 wolves in Yellowstone National Park.

Stuff To Do at Yellowstone

Like all National Parks, you can have guided tours of the Park's natural beauty. There are 12 campsites at Yellowstone and several hiking trails. You can see Old Faithful and other geysers. Campers are instructed on bear safety, and given tips like change your clothes after you cook in them and avoid packing strong smelling food.
